Cestoda is what we know as the tapeworm. Those in this class as they get older live in the digestive system of various young animals including calves and baby sheep. all vertebrate has a tape worm that they can specifically host. Over a thousand species have been discovered. The tapeworms body is made up of successive segments. proglottids together are known as a strobila, which is thin, and looks like a strip of tape. this is where the name tapeworm comes from. Tape worms are endoparasites. Most if not all their Heads contains hooks and suckers to help them attach to their host more effectively.
